Slow Down or Speed Up?

We’re hearing mixed messages about how to handle the end of the year.

As the year comes to a close for those of us following the Gregorian calendar, a familiar theme is appearing on social media posts: How best to end it.

Some say it’s a time to slow down, relax, enjoy the season with our families and bring the year to a quiet close.

Others are reminding us that we have goals for the year and just a few weeks left to achieve them — so speed up and finish strong!

And finally there are those who want to forget this particular year entirely, write it off, and plan for a clean slate with a new beginning starting next January 1st.

So what is the best way to end the year? It’s up to you. Ask yourself: What can I do to make the year end well for me and the people I care about? There’s no shortage of guidance, advice and pep-talk to get you through the next few weeks.

Perhaps the best answer is to tune all that out. ◼︎
